Our mission is to provide horseback riding skills and training to disabled children to increase their strength,
coordination, and confidence in a safe and fun environment.

A wide range of children will benefit from this program, including children with the following disabilities:

    • muscular dystrophy, cerebral palsy, visual impairment, down syndrome, mental retardation, autism, multiple sclerosis, spina bifida, emotional disabilities, brain injuries, spinal cord injuries, amputations, learning
disabilities, attention deficit disorder, deafness, cardiovascular accident/stroke and others.

The program is located at Moss Beach Ranch (MBR).  MBR is a 50 acre horse board facility that sponsors riding
lessons for children and adults.  In addition, MBR hosts programs such as the Watershed Discovery Workshop, The San Mateo County Sheriff’s Department Diversion Program, and a full summer kids Summer Horse Camp.  We have a
dedicated enclosed arena for the Therapeutic Riding Program (TRP) as well as a smaller round pen.  There will be 6
horses trained specifically for therapeutic riding.  We also have specific equipment to be used as needed until the children
are able to utilize normal tack.
